It is said in the clan that Aegea was born when the Gladekeeper breathed upon a small flowerbud that stubbornly refused to bloom, even when the goddess drew near. When breathed upon, however, the little bud quivered fiercely and then blossomed- how could it resist such pure life energy? But rather than a flower, there was a tiny Fae crouched inside, blinking up at the goddess of life, eyes already bright and curious. From Aegea's considerable powers, it would certainly seem the rumor is true. Nature magic comes to Aegea as easily as breathing. Her very presence invigorates plant-life, as it fortifies her own. Being near this Fae brings feelings of peace, content, utter calm. The life flowing from her tiny body is so pure, that curses, hexes, and other forms of dark, unnatural, and cruel magics are lifted, if only temporarily, while in her presence. Healing quickens, and dragons may even come back from the brink of death, should she focus her magics in their body. Aegea may be small, but she should not be underestimated. Her extremely powerful magic is not her only asset. She is also wise beyond her years, calm, often serious, levelheaded, peaceful, kind, diplomatic, intelligent. She is loving and accepting, and has opened her wings to many a dragon with strangeness about them. She knows everything about any and all dragons who come to her clan seeking asylum, their darkest secrets, their shameful past, their true intentions, as soon as they come. With this ability, she can judge whether or not they should be allowed in her beloved clan. However, she only knows what is true at the time they try to enter- after, she is not given any more magical knowledge about them, unless they should quit and rejoin. This Fae, though she has many positive traits, is not without her flaws. Her soul is bound to Nature, and she may not leave unless she brings many plants from the Viridian Labyrinth with her. If she does leave, she will swiftly become weaker as days pass, although plant life of any kind will slow this weakening. Neither food nor medicine will be able to prevent her death if she stays away for too long- so the Fae does not leave her homeland often. She also has a tendency towards optimism and forgiveness. She doesn't have a hateful bone in her body, and will swiftly forgive any hurts done towards herself, though she will be more cautious around the dragon who harmed her from then on. Any hurts towards her family or her clan are not so easily forgiven- but she will try and figure out why it was done. Should it be passed off as unintentional, she will forgive and caution them to be more careful. If she was ever betrayed, she would be heartbroken, not angry. Violence tends to make the Aegea feel ill, and she much prefers diplomacy and peace. She always believes the best of her clan members if they passed her judgement, and can't imagine treachery. She's also prone to daydreams and not paying attention, occasionally, if she's in a lighthearted mood. Despite this, she is still loved by her clan- and she loves them. She always wants to do what's best for them, the dragons she cares about. If this means violence, if this means war, if this means the (often strange) dragons of her clan have to fight to have a place in this world so full of other life... She will do her best to put aside her misgivings and do it. For she cares deeply for the whole clan. |
