B I O G R A P H Y

______ Nicknamed "Timekeeper," Sunburst is not like other Spirals. She is calm and quiet, and remembers every last detail of her many century long past. The others of the clan come to Sunburst to resolve conflicts, or to simply listen to her tales and stories. She enjoys collecting artifacts and old gear, and is the original founder of the clan alongside Akuma. When Sunburst was just a small hatchling, she watched a great meteorite fall from the sky, a meteorite that changed her life forever. It was gigantic, and the blast from its impact shook the seas and killed hundreds, but when all settled, Sunburst, despite the warnings of her clan, went out to see just what it was. What she found at the site was the meteorite, cracked plain in half from the impact, and, sitting in the middle of the rubble, a tablet. This tablet was intricate, beautifully carved and depicted beasts never seen on Sorneith. It was old, far older than the Sorneith gods, and it was tainted. Along the top corner and down the right edge, was a pitch black marking that gave off a wispy shroud, a marking made by The Shade. The tablet had come from an ancient civilization that had been devoured by the great black mass, and when Sunburst touched it, she felt a great rush throughout her body. A rush of power, and then, a rush of pain. In agony, she cried out, then fainted. When she came to, Sunburst was still clutching the tablet tight. She felt no pain, but she could tell that something was different. She looked at the tablet she was holding, then realized that her hands had changed. They were grey and patternless, despite her having been born a deep blue. She turned to see the rest of her body, only to realize that all of her scales had turned that color, though many of them shone brightly between the cracks. Panicking, Sunburst flew home as fast as she could, only to be shunned by her clan and disowned by her mother.

______ Through trying to survive and fend for herself in the wild, Sunburst quickly found out that the tablet had given her more than just a color change, but also the ability to control shadow magic as well as her native water magic. She made use of this new magic and easily learned how to wield it and healing magic, so that she could withstand a fight or two. Overtime, Sunburst realized just how much the tablet had effected her, and she came to loathe the sun, even the slight amount that made it through to the ocean floor, and so she came to the Tangled Wood. Years passed, decades, centuries - all of it flew by in a blur. The once eccentric spiral had grown calm, composed, intelligent from her experiences. She creatively mixed her magics into spells that would allow her to hunt with using next to no effort whatsoever. She could beckon animals to come to her, drown a beast in darkness from half a kilometer away, or even calm a creature with just the touch of a claw. Then, one day, she met another dragon. Sunburst had met other dragons before, but none like this one. The poor creature was savage, driven near mindless from what looked to have been a terrible fight. She was bleeding terribly, with wounds all along her stomach and neck. As Sunburst cautiously approached, she sensed something. She could see that the dragon clearly had Shadow eyes, however, the magics she sensed spoke a different story. As she drew closer, the injured mirror's eyes fixated on the tablet still strapped to Sunburst's back, and when she began to show signs of fear, Sunburst realized; this dragon and herself were the same. Pitying the mirror, Sunburst calmed and healed her, and they began to talk. The dragon explained that her name was Akuma, and that she was originally a plaguedragon, but became feared and hated by her clan after a meteorite had struck and she had gained shadow powers. Her clan leader had tried to kill her, and that's why she had come to the Tangled Wood - to escape and find someone who could help her. After this meeting, the two became great friends, and eventually decided to start a clan, where those imbued with the powers granted by The Shade would be welcomed and loved - The Yamichi Clan.
