VENENO

PERSONALITY
Ven is swift and deadly. She is a notorious assassin who resides in Ebony Strike with her loyal Serthis companions. Often, most need not fear the dragoness for she does not accept just any assassination contract. She accepts these missions only from dragons deemed needing of her skills by Irsei'va, her Blueband companion, whom knows her way around the assassin life. She can tell whether their intentions are rightly aligned and when a dragon simply wishes to kill needlessly without dirtying their claws.

HISTORY
A lone egg astray from mother's safe nest, it was swiftly plucked and carried to a strange facility. Beastclan engineers worked with the egg to envenom any part of it, knowing some good-hearted dragon would rescue it if they came across it, or with some dragons practicing cannibalism, ingest it, then they would become very ill, ideally to a fatal capacity was their hope. Anything to strike back at their mortal enemies with no trails back to the labs.
Her egg was found by Untoten's Horde in their sickly lands of plague. When she hatched, none were aware of her deadly secret. It was not until she was handled by another dragon that made them violently ill. They recovered well but the dragons of the clan were utterly confused until,one noticed a dull sheen on her wings. A Serthis within the clan spoke up, predicting that the hatchling was likely poisonous. A few small tests proved it. The hatchling was raised carefully in mild isolation for a while when the Horde had a few visitors from their close ally in Lightning. The curious child peeked out from where she was, but of course, even as much care as had been taken to help the pup avoid learning that she was not like the rest, she swelled deep inside with a sort of envy and resentment that she knew something was terribly wrong with her and could probably never walk amongst normal dragons and she sulked back into her den. Leader Celtozaa's keen eyes had caught the brightly colored creature retreating and she dismissed herself before approaching. The massive guardian hovered at the entrance, lowering her head and slowly pushing herself in. The poisonous dragonette saw her and cowered, fearful that she would hurt yet another, but the older dragon simply opened her jaws and reached for her, much to the dismay of the child. She had tried to move but the gentle grip of the other's teeth held her fast. She was carried out, and the dragons of the horde were shocked and a few began to panic, waiting for the battle-scarred leader to collapse. Celt placed the child between her paws and and cringed, but shook her head. She explained that she had been injured once by a very potent serthis poison, which was normally deadly to a high percentage of dragons, and managed to recover within a few months, and that the child's was indeed strong but not enough to hurt her as much. She asked to take the youngling with her, to which Untoten wholly agreed, hoping the small creature could better thrive under the wing of one unaffected by her. The serthis that had predicted her potency asked to follow, for his experience could help her harness it as she grew, and Celt allowed it.
Ven grew ever gracefully with Celt's care, and she cared deeply for her surrogate mother, once trying to nearly hurl herself into the nearest beast clan camp after she and Celt had gotten into an arguement and the unruly dragoness had bitten her mother. It was apparent that the poison on her wings hadn't lost potency but instead had moved into newly formed venom glands in her jaws. Celt was only half affected by the bite, and held the writhing dragoness down, explaining to her that they would not always agree but that it didn't make Celt care for her any less. Ven apologized profusely as she huddled against her mother. She received her name then.
Veneno worked with Zmey, her Serthis protector, to use the substances in her body as weapons to protect the clan. Celt kept a close eye on the two, having a general mistrust of any beast creatures. Ven wanted to help others, as she had only come to harm ever since she was little. She wanted to put her ability to use as an assassin. She trained with Emilia and a few other dragons and eventually set off for a while, taking contracts until she was hit with a realization. What if some of these dragons were innocent, only the victims of a dragon with a lust for blood who perhaps could not stain their reputation by committing such acts themselves? Luckily she found a partner to assist her. A lovely young serthis who was very used to reading her clients and assessing their intents. The sethis' initial reaction to stumbling upon Ven in the desert was to draw her swords, but she paused at the sinks of dismay that were the dragon's red eyes. Curiousity took hold and she began talking to the massive dragon, and eventually offered to travel with her and help her with her deeds. Ven was grateful and provides protection against other dragons. shelter and food for her friend in exchange.
