Biography
Understanding Amythst Regalia
A Short Story
by Elexia
Amythst Regalia looked at the bendy piano in her hands and felt delighted.
She walked over to the window and reflected on her magical surroundings. She had always loved cold Glasgow with its brave, boiling beaches. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel delighted.
Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Lost Time. Lost was an incredible lover with grubby elbows and slimy fingers.
Amythst gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was an understanding, deranged, cocoa drinker with fragile elbows and curvaceous fingers. Her friends saw her as a defeated, dark deity. Once, she had even helped a green owl recover from a flying accident.
But not even an understanding person who had once helped a green owl recover from a flying accident, was prepared for what Lost had in store today.
The moon shone like sitting gerbils, making Amythst sneezy.
As Amythst stepped outside and Lost came closer, she could see the clear glint in his eye.
"Look Amythst," growled Lost, with a callous glare that reminded Amythst of incredible pigeons. "I hate you and I want Closure. You owe me 5141 dollars."
Amythst looked back, even more sneezy and still fingering the bendy piano. "Lost, I shrunk the kids," she replied.
They looked at each other with surprised feelings, like two bright, barbecued badgers shouting at a very controlling rave, which had indie music playing in the background and two stable uncles eating to the beat.
Amythst studied Lost's grubby elbows and slimy fingers. Eventually, she took a deep breath. "I'm afraid I declared myself bankrupt," explained Amythst. "You will never get your money."
"No!" objected Lost. "You lie!"
"I do not!" retorted Amythst. "Now get your grubby elbows out of here before I hit you with this bendy piano."
Lost looked unstable, his wallet raw like a helpless, homely hawk.
Amythst could actually hear Lost's wallet shatter into 5141 pieces. Then the incredible lover hurried away into the distance.
Not even a mug of cocoa would calm Amethyst's nerves tonight.
