Biography
Subject 14996835 was a lab rat. Growing up in a testing facility from birth, ruthless scientists relentlessly exposed 14996835 to their cruel experiments each and every day. They would constantly marvel at how their test subject had managed to withstand their tests for so long.
However, what they didn't know was that 14996835 had been tainted by the chemicals. Their cruelty had driven him mad, and the rage was building inside him with each passing day.
Waiting and watching, and selecting the perfect moment, 14996835 finally snapped and broke out of his containment. Using the heightened strength the experiments had given him, he fought without conscience to neutralise the workers, and for the first time in his life break free.
Startled by the outside world, 14996835 ran as fast and as far as he could. He had no plan and no direction, spurred on by the adrenaline surging through his veins. He flustered into a group of other dragons, and nearly attacked them as if instinctual.
But then he saw the kindness in their eyes. He saw dragons nurturing and showing affection to each other. They meant him no harm. Even though he'd never experienced this before, he could tell that they weren't a threat. As the other dragons spoke with warm, gentle words, 14996835 stared at them in silence, and he began to cry. He had never felt this way before. For the first time in his life he knew kindness.
Assuming the name Ranium, he soon began to settle in the cosy hospitality of the lair. The lasting effects of his upbringing did mean the occasional psychotic episode, but with the other dragons' love and care, Ranium slowly started on his journey of rehabilitation.
