She fancied herself a warrior, but the two large males merely chuckled in response. As a child of the gods she had been trained in a great many things, even to defend herself though this hardly compared to a true warrior. Such ferocity required for that was not becoming of a royal lady.

It couldn't get much worse could it? Her betrothed, a noble imperial, a child of the gods, had rejected her, chasing after some common imperial he found near a river in a random forest. Exposed, her father was revealed to be a fae, hiding under the guise of an imperial, she wasn't the pureblood she was supposed to be. An outcast, fallen from glory, she is determined to make her way back to the top. The question is, how?
