LILY
Give the trees names,
and they will protect you.

A dragon raised in the seclusion of the jungle, with more plants than dragons for friends, Lily's knowledge about the natural world has always been impressive. She has an almost plague-like knack for survival, but frankly she'd rather sit and smell the flowers.

The guardian has modified her tail into a brush of sorts in order to document the world she sees around her. She enjoys flowers in particular, and has a very detailed journal documenting the different species and variants of any blooming plant that she's encountered. The book is quite lovingly illustrated, and quite useful too, as it lists the identifying attributes and uses of the plants. Lily's occasional visitors are usually dragons looking for plants that have certain magical properties.

Of course, Lily can do a lot more with her brushes than just paint flowers. While not entirely "book smart", she has an innate understanding of the natural world around her. She instinctively follows Sornieth's natural ley lines, and sometimes helps those that need it with charms, wards, and other passive magics.

A useful skill, considering the fact that her few close friends mostly reside in the Tangled Wood and the Viridian Labyrinth, two of the most dangerous areas in Sornieth. Warding off malevolent spirits is particularly useful in the Tangled Wood, as the forest is full of ghosts. More practical things, like deterring wild beasts, is extremely useful in the vicious Viridian Labyrinth.

She is a writing-based magic user, and generally needs to draw and/or write her spells out before casting them. Some call her a shaman, and others say witch doctor. Some would say that she resembles both. Lily doesn't seem to mind either way.

Nowadays, Lily mostly just tends her growing garden. She sometimes travels around to collect more plants and to fix the damage that dragonkind's warring causes, but doesn't really interact with others more than she has to. She's very solitary, and lives deep in the forest. That suits her just fine.
