When she was just an exaltling, she got so caught up in battle she wrapped her paws in briars and used them like brass knuckles, earning her name in the Scorched Forest during the hunt for embers for the Flameforger's Festival. She was chosen to lead the clan alongside her sister Sweetpea that day as the main defender. Together they will lead the clan, one fierce and one sweet, mirror images of each other.

She was noticed by the current clan leaders when they saw just how efficiently she could tear across the battlefield. Strawberry forged bloodscale armor for her right there and a new leader was born. Both she and Sweetpea have a soft spot for Rosinthe, the two of them loving him equally.

As the younger of the two, she looks up to Sweetpea, trusting her judgement in most decisions. Sweetpea is trying to teach her the ways of a leader as best she can, but sometimes Briarlace can be a bit...brash.
