She is polite, sweet and eager to help anyone who asks. She likes to cuddle with others and really adores cat like animals, because they are also soft and she is able to cuddle with them. Amalthea also likes to knit, mostly big fluffy blankets.

Because of her big heart, she goes out to help animals that are hurt which can lead to her also getting loss. During one time, she doesn't return for a few weeks, Rosh thinks she has abandoned her which is the reason for his infidelity. When she returns and learns, she is quick to forgive and takes him back. Though she doesn't have any ill feelings towards him or Raylina she is a little wary of both, and will sometimes watch from the corner of her eye.
