Kamen

Kamen loves magic and is fascinated with it. He enjoys being around when spells are being cast and likes helping out however he can. However, he isn't good with magic himself. He has very little skill and just doesn't know how to properly use the power he does have.

He's tried to master magic pretty much his whole life, with very little success. In fact, one spell in particular that he cast completely backfired on him. He tried to do a summoning spell, like what his aunt does. He wanted to summon a water spirit, but he got the words all wrong. So instead, he transformed himself into a more aquatic creature rather than conjuring one. He gained a fin-like tail, webbed feet, and even a deepsea bulb antenna like what an angler fish has.

When his family found out what happened, his mom freaked out. She was worried about what effect this would have on his life and wanted to find a way to change him back. His aunt asked what spell he had used to cause this, and he claimed it was a summoning spell. He didn't remember the words exactly, making it difficult to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it.

They decided to ask Amosis for advice. As scatterbrained as the Fae was, he was skilled with magic and hopefully knowledgeable enough to find a way to fix this mess. They explained what happened and the wizard contemplated on the situation. He then just simply shrugged and asked what the problem was. The Mirror child didn't seem to be hurt at all. Nothing seemed to be wrong with him. In fact, he seemed perfectly fine. So why worry?

Taking this into consideration, they decided that maybe this transformation wasn't such a bad thing. In fact, Kamen seemed to like it. He said this could be a lot of fun. He could go swimming or diving. He could even stay underwater for a long time. He saw this as a good thing. So they let him keep the transformation.
