Deadly. These words could all be used to describe the Guardian known as Bloodshackle, but to say it to his face…to say anything to his face…would be putting yourself at great risk. To those fighting alongside him, he is a valuable asset; to his enemies, he is a nightmare incarnate, a bane to those who should think to oppose him. The problem is, once he is worked into a berserk rage, Bloodshackle is unable to discriminate allies from foes. He has no goals, no loved ones, nothing that he cares for: He launches himself into the heat of battle without any qualms. It doesn’t matter who dies, so long as blood bathes the battleground. Although he still has frequent fits of madness (not to mention the berserkergang state he enters when in battle), Bloodshackle is not simply the insane, mindless drake he was before. No one is quite sure where he went, or where he goes when the moon is new, but each time he comes back he is calm to the point where he can utter garbled phrases and listen to the others as they speak. Description
Bloodshackle is a massive, green-skinned Guardian dragon with bulging muscles and sharp, broken fangs. His eyes are bright red, pupil-less, crazed. His rough hide is scarred and covered in a stiff coat of dried blood. Cobwebs and bones dangle from his tattered wings, and bloodied bandages cover open battle wounds.
Job Description
Bloodshackle mostly does what he wants to, which is fight. He launches himself into battle as a berserker, mercilessly cutting down foes before the rest of the soldiers attack.
Den
No one enters Bloodshackle's den. It is dark and smells of blood. Something solid and smooth - bones? - litters the floor, clinking when stepped on.

Relationships

[deceased] Bloodshackle and Dacerie had a strange relationship. They would often fight and snap at each other, getting into blood-chilling roaring matches and dangerous squabbles. They were constantly at one another's side, though, keeping each other from attacking innocent dragons by focusing all their attention on the other Guardian. When Dacerie died, it really tore Bloodshackle apart, and he descended into a fathomless madness. |

Bloodshackle's Familiar is a Graveyard Guardian that follows him around, grunting and moaning and putting off the sickly-sweet smell of rot. It's constantly dripping a snot-like substance, leaving tracks of the stuff wherever it steps. It is a scavenger, feasting upon whatever it can find. While not much of a warrior, it can hold its own in a fight, and has been known to tear foes limb from limb. |
