The Vermillion Vigil

Name meaning: feminine form of Eleutherius, "free". I just wanted a Greek name for her.

Eleutheria likes to think she knows more than anyone else in the clan, and while that might be true it most likely is only true in regard to Eleutheria's rather obscure and strange interests. She likes to describe herself as an experimentator and a master of Ancient and Forbidden lore. In truth, she is a hoarder of strange trivia, leaning towards macabre (few other dragons are as prepared to spend several days watching a Basilisk corpse decay, and then check out all the bones and skeletal structure). She also prefers to wear skins, and changes them occasionally. If asked, she replies that it's "safer that way". Safer from what, no one is sure.
Whenever a group of Snappers happens to pass by the lair, Eleutheria always comes down to talk to them, exchanging food for information, and sometimes follows their groups for a week or so before returning to the lair.

Despite her general oddity, she isn't unliked among the clan. If a bit haughty and distant, she isn't unkind to her clanmates, and among her baggage of largely strange knowledge there are often useful bits, such as what things that you catch you shouldn't eat, the juice of what plant will give your scales a nice shine, and how to correctly remove sharp rocks from your feet without injuring yourself further.
