On the edge of the coven's territory, just beyond the garden that feeds a thousand bees, is a graveyard lined with stones, each one carefully carved with the name of a long-dead clan member. Not all of the graves are filled. Many are empty, existing only as a symbol by which to remember those who died before the migration. The imperial graves, too, are empty. All except for one, the grave of an old warrior who perished within the borders of the clan. He had been a great help to the coven on their journey from the Southern Icefields. Without him they may never have made it. So when he closed his eyes for the final time it seemed fitting that he should be buried here, in the home that they would not have if not for him.

It is this grave, marked by a monolith fit for an imperial, that Ygar guards. He was entrusted with the task of ensuring that no other imperial is ever buried there. He takes his duty very seriously, as he should, and can be seen prowling around the perimeter of the graveyard at all hours of day. His hesitancy to leave the rows of old stones has gotten him a rather unpleasant reputation, and when he does venture out into other parts of the territory the others avoid him pointedly.
