Biography

Intact Parchment
Uh-oh, looks like this handsome Snapper wandered a little too far from his lair (35110 - Merion), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

Nomad arrived at the Palmetto clan on July 19, 2015 but didn't stay for long. A wanderer at heart, he soon prepared to set off for new adventures, new scenery, and new tales, though he thought he might return one day to settle down. While he was there, he asked the dragons to show or tell him something interesting. The Palmetto dragons brought out a cute little mouse, and told him the hatchlings there often kept them as pets:
Roan Mouse
Nomad, very amused, watched the tiny creature run across his claws and stop to eat a sunflower seed. Then he gently returned it to a trio of faes, and headed for the next clan to see what he might find.
..................................................

His very next stop was at a large clan in a place called the Cloudsong, a gorgeous array of colourful kites up in the clouds. Though the dragons there were nice, Nomad soon came to realize he really did not enjoy heights very much, and left soon after, hoping the next clan would at least live on the ground.
..................................................

Unfortunately for Nomad, he only managed to find his way to yet another wind clan before he needed to rest. However, it was smaller than the last one, and considerably closer to the ground. There he was greeted by two rather imposing dragons; Morgane, a medium sized guardian. And Veil; an intimating and scarred mirror.

Nomad had nothing to fear. Morgane, welcomed him warmly and invited him to partake of their food and company, for they were but a small clan with no mind for conflict. Veil commented that a dragon of wind heritage (as evidenced by Nomad's eyes) would do well in a wind clan. But the snapper stated that, true to his name-sake, he had a taste for adventure.

Nomad did well for himself in the coming days, as Morgane and Veil often took him on low level hunting trips which strengthened him. But, soon, the novelty wore off, and Nomad found the winds calling to him once more. Before he left the clan for good, he was given a Silver Filigree Breastplate to "keep those squishy parts safe" as Veil aptly said.

The snapper lumbered off into a new day, and a new clan.
..................................................
Nomad arrived at the SunDragon clan and was greeted by clan ambassador Violante. Violante took him to the ever burning bonfire at the center of the lair. There he met another snapper called Hope. She had a loud voice and wasn't afraid to talk in fount of people, but she thought about each word she said before it came out of her mouth. The two got along well and enjoyed each others company during his stay.
..................................................
Something in Nomad's heart must have been uniquely connected to the Wind flight lands, because on his next leg of his journey, he again found himself in a lair covered in the hollow, song-filled bamboo. The Wanderer's Lair, it was called, an apt place for a traveler such as himself to rest for a while. The clan had only one other snapper, a female named Tobii. She took to him immediately.

Unfortunately, while he was rooting around for food, he came across Jasan's stash of unused scatterscrolls and found himself with completely new colours (emerald/platinum/beige to rose/crimson/lavender).
..................................................

The next lair Nomad found himself in was in the Twisting Crecendo. There, he stayed a time with the Fruity Clan, and helped watch over the hatchlings as they got ready to go out on travels of their own. Soon, Nomad felt it was his turn to travel again.
..................................................

Nomad wandered all the way to the Shifting Expanse, where he found himself in a rather paranoid Lightning clan in a bunker that wanted to record travelers' tales for their research. Unfortunately, he found himself locked in during a great plague that affected all of them and killed 10 of their number. He witnessed a small upheaval in leadership; their scoundrel of a Patriarch was displaced and replaced with the Matriarch's consort. Nomad grew uncomfortable-- he felt like he was intruding on their grief, and the leadership wanted nothing more than to recover and get back to work. Nomad promised to write them if he found a medic-dragon looking for a home, a promise he wasn't sure if he intended to keep. The Forgemaster, Vahrukt, gave him one of her Black Iron Creepers for his trouble. He decided to name it Wesley and take it with him, feeding it bits of coal he found along the way.
..................................................

After a long, long journey, Nomad returned home to his birth clan for a respite. Clan leaders Artemis and Bali were thrilled to have him return, and the rest of the clan constantly begged him to share tales of his adventures. The Wind lair was abuzz for months, relishing Nomad's stories of travels far and wide, to corners of the world they had only imagined. The clan chronicler, a cheerful Coatl named Joy, especially loved his company, and dutifully recorded each of his tales. Nomad has truly become a legend among his home clan, where he has stirred a traveling itch in many a young Wind dragon. Of course, it could only be a matter of time before he too felt the wind pulling him on to further travels. After a grande farewell feast and saying his goodbyes to family and friends, Nomad packed his bags to head out. As a parting gift, his clan bestowed him with a Violet Flower Crown to accent his lovely belly.
..................................................

Nomad next found himself in the Lightning Farm, which made Wesley very happy. Fortunately, Sparkspine Clan was a little more relaxed than his previous hosts in the territory, and he had great freedom to wander around and help with daily tasks. A stern guardian by the name of Iarlaith insisted that he take a set of Silver Filigree Gauntlets in addition to his breastplate, as the armory was overflowing and Nomad tended to trip on the fissured, cable-strewn terrain. He stayed for quite a while, but eventually his wandering heart got the better of him once again.
..................................................

Nomad somehow ended up in an icy territory filled with terrifying statues. He didn't see any dragons and he didn't stay long, glad enough to be on his way.
..................................................

Entering the Nevermore clan and replacing Juniper was quite a shock. They all knew she was always going to go, but this was rather soon. They welcomed Nomad with open arms, and after his amazing storytelling they granted him with a Red Warrior Face Mask. Feeling like his time here was done, he went on his way to visit another clan.
..................................................

The Myrne Clan welcomed Nomad with open arms. Many a traveller had passed through their ranks, always leaving with something more. In Nomad's case, that something was a Silver Filigree Helmet to match the rest of his armor. They told him stories of their clan, and allowed him to train with two of their best fighters. Granted, Nomad was a bit better than them, but training with was still fun.
