Despite her sparkling features, for the longest time Eia was far from the forefront of clan activities. One of the many dragons who passed through Wayfarer's Rest on their travels, she sort of snuck her way into a more permament residence. Ask any clan member who was there before her and they'll admit to having a hard time imagining the clan without her, but at the same time can't quite pinpoint when exactly she joined.

The main reason for this is her preference to observe others. She enjoyed chronicling her journeys and the dragons she'd met on them, but there was just something about the dragons of Wayfarer's Rest that she found fascinating and was compelled to write the stories about them that she either heard about or witnessed directly. It was when she was doing research into the older series that she discovered that the clan didn't have a written record, and decided to take up the role herself.

But even then dragons only sort of vaguely noticed her presence and acknowledged her role in the clan, which she was perfectly fine with. It wasn't until the arrival of a certain spiral that she seemed to become much more known.

Since Seven joined the clan, his personality seems to have rubbed off onto Eia, and she's become much more vocal and impulsive. She doesn't directly cause havoc like her friend does,
but she will frequently be found egging other dragons on when they're debating on doing something. They ask "why?" and she asks "why not?" Some argue she does this for more interesting stories to write about, and while she doesn't deny this when someone brings it up to her face, anyone who's paying attention to clan affairs notices that she never enables anyone to do something that may cause harm to themselves or others.

A gift from Crow, Leabhar is part tool, part pet. While she has plenty of notebooks and scrolls for her general writing, she keeps everything she considers important to clan history in Leabhar. It sticks close by her side and unless otherwise indicated, will only allow her to access the pages inside. A considerably useful trait when one is hanging out with Seven on a regular basis.

No one's really sure why Seven and Eia ended up clicking as well as they did, especially regarding their rather different personalities (well, at least pre-meeting before Seven started to rub off a bit on her). Best theory anyone can come up with so far is that she's the first dragon who had any sort of tolerance for his pranks.

Eia was ecstatic when her daughter showed an interest in reacing and learning. However when it was obvious that Malachite's interests leaned more towards the scientific rather than historic, she was more than a little pouty. Doesn't stop her from being supportive of her daughters interests though!

Technically, Eia's favorite subject to write about is the clan as a whole, but she was practicaly enamored with Mirrin the moment he stepped foot back into the clan's day to day life. Not only could she have more first-hand details about the formation of the clan, but also what happens when a dragon goes to serve a diety directly! She's had much more success on getting details about one topic than the other.
