He was the strongest of the clan. He was the most handsome. He had an amazing ability to rally the clan together. He should be the clan leader, but he wasn’t. Time and time again he would lose against Etiel. Their claws clashing against each other and always, always, Etiel would last longer, have enough breath to knock him down. Always Etiel would come out as the victor and the clan would flock to him and ask for their guidance. It was quite unfair, so he would challenge Etiel again. He would win the next time.


Zeus had never doubted his strength, never doubted that he was the strongest. He had to be! Against the lesser Guardian who didn’t have good look. He had to be the best. Others may whisper that he might be a bit cocky, too confident in his strength, but they were all just jealous of him. At least Arethusa knew. She was confident in his strength, but never liked violence, so he never told her of the times he would challenge Etiel for leadership.
