The little doll dragon is largely made with clockwork bits, though he does have a mechanical aspect to flying that is separately organized from his internal works. Gilbie is often found in the Queen's room, curled up with her and keeping her company. While Herrick isn't fond of smaller dragons, the little doll was made for her by Giselle, upon request. After all, being Queen gets quite lonely, and it's not fun to be alone.

Gilbie is fond of playing with the hatchlings, particularly the Queen's, but must always be careful; while sturdy for his size, he is terribly small, and could easily be destroyed entirely. The faeries inhabiting like to steal poor Gilbie away for play, much to Herrick's total displeasure.

On the little doll-dragon, there are several scars-- the most notable is a bite on his right shoulder from an incident with the queen, which nearly destroyed the poor doll. The dear lady's temper isn't the best, at times, and though forgiven and forgotten, still gives him trouble, despite numerous repairs that had been done by his sister, Giselle. The others are simply wear and tear from playing with children far larger than he himself is, as young dragons are wont to destroy things that they see as prey. Poor dear. Perhaps a tougher outer working should be made for the little doll, lest he fall into complete disrepair in far too soon a time for anyone's liking.

Giselle was the elder sister of Gilbert, a fae who was taken in as a 'pet' and companion of sorts to the Queen, like a mechanical pet. Gilbert himself, however, is actually just a mechanical doll version of a fae, and not an actual living dragon. She simply called him her little brother because she helped to create him.

Giselle's main occupation in the Clans was to repair anything needed by the people or the Court, and she made toys for the hatchlings. Though not particularly wealthy, she was happy with her job, and enjoyed seeing others happy.

Unfortunately, an accident in her shoppe managed to kill the poor dear, and so Gilbert is left alone, without his beloved 'sister', but still carries on her work, and tries to remain happy.
