A near copy of his father, [NAME HERE] was flung into turmoil from the moment he hatched. He crawled of his egg to a horrendous noise. The sound of claws raking across scales, snapping jaws, a body hitting the wall. He squeaked in panic, wiggling in a futile attempt to get away. He felt a clawed hand go around him- followed by a shriek of indignation- and then powerful wingbeats, lifting him away. The claws around him were not vicious. He dozed.
When he awoke, he found himself next to his mother. She brighten at his awakening, but soon set him a task to do. He was to spy on his father, then report back to his mother. With no upbringing to go on, he willingly agree, and fluttered down from the perch his mother had taken him to. Powered by his need to please, he found his father who all but choked him in relief. He spent the day with him, committing everything he did to memory before sneaking away during the night and retracing his steps to the hidden den his mother had taken him to. [NAME HERE] relayed everything he had seen and heard, to the delight and shock of his mother. He spared no detail. She grinned widely, silks glistening in the gloom of their hideout, and rewarded him with food and toys she had procured. [NAME HERE] kept at his job, every day returning to his father and staying at his side as a shadow. He watched his clutchmate from a distance, eyes keen on every movement. He watched every dragon his father interacted with down to the smallest movement. He recited everything back to his mother at night.
[NAME HERE] would excel at spywork, with excellent memory and no morals to speak of. His skills could be used for less nefarious means, as he would also make a good scribe.
