Biography
Zeroth
Origin Traits ... |
A ridgeback nestled within the mountains in the southern ice fields, possessed a gruesome lair. It was acrid, rotten, musky smelling and it radiated out of the liar for miles. She guarded her lair, containing all the bones of her fallen enemies, way ward dragons, and those who dared to challenge her. Zeroth had no reason for her mayhem, her hatred. She simply felt that rendering flesh of other's was how one proved their strength. If that were the case, then Zeroth was indeed a terribly strong entity. The ridgeback's skin eventually began to stain on her hardened skin, creating her a deep, blood red complexion to shimmer. When the sun or moonlight hits her scales just right, her appearance resembles a glass statue, sloshing full of blood. She was cruel, stringing up some of her victims' bones on her wings. Unsure if she was trying to warn people to not come near, or flaunt her powers. Every challenger was met with canines dripping with venom, claws soaked in self made toxins, scales as hard as diamonds. Eventually when less and less travelers appeared, Zeroth looked for more challenges. She wandered, her skin still glistened of her past sins, her wings rattled with bones and beads, an odour penetrated the air around her. Zeroth wandered into every territory, eventually making her way into the Gladekeeper's domain. She didn't know what hunger, thirst or lethargy was since those were the signs of weakness. Her journey was easy travelling across all of Sornieth, imagine her surprise when she does finally stumble across a few dragons. A lot of the dragons she took down were rabid, lost souls that had no home. One faithful day though, another ridgeback clad in amour and crimson cloth approached Zeroth. "Are you the monster, killing innocents across this land? Plaguing others with your existence?" The other ridgeback sounded offended, upset even. Zeroth could only chuckle and grin her teeth, venom and saliva dripping onto the ground. Zeroth's lips rippled over her impressive fangs, "if I say yes, will you try to stop me? I've been craving a challenge." "State your name, it's only polite a warrior knows the name of their next fallen opponent," the amoured ridgeback widened her stance and kept her alert gaze on the dragon across from her. "Zeroth. What is the name of my next victim?" "My name is Victoria. If you're looking for a victim, you've challenged the wrong dragon." Without another word, the two sprinted towards each other into what would turn into a week long spar. Both dragons eventually collapsed at the same time, both of them needed medical attention. Zeroth was almost left for dead when Victoria spoke up, "we need to keep her. A mighty fighter would come in handy to help defend the lair." Without further questions, Zeroth was made a member of the lair but she has her own space away from everyone else. Her lair is located somewhere off the side of the swamp and is one of the first lines of defense in case an attack were to ever occur. What she does in her spare time is her own business, but Victoria does keep her in check from time to time. |
