How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth? Cooper came to Dioscuri Clan as a scavenged egg, shortly before Thundercrack. Contralto says that she had the blessings of the Boss when she hatched, her colours being a perfect complement to her disposition.
She serves Dioscuri clan as their scientist, and can often be seen making notes on the results of the brew pot. (Her current theory involves the number of items the clan has hoarded affecting the rarity of the item that is produced. Although the logistics of that theory send her into a tizzy if she is questioned about it.) She is deeply offended that the brew pot is not more logical and has stormed away from Baldwin on more than one occasion.

Chainsaw and Cooper share a deep kinship, and although they have one clutch of hatchlings they have no plans to nest again. Chainsaw is too often away in the Coliseum and Cooper is too busy with her spreadsheets.
Hamish does make an effort to learn more of the Science of Alchemy, but his attention span is somewhat limited and he often allows the brew to boil over.

Whenever Cooper works with Baldwin she delights in soaking the familiars that have dodged or injured Chainsaw while he is in the coliseum. He brings her the ones that are truly dangerous, and she tends his wounds before he returns to the coli.
