Biography
Dauphin is royalty, and he knows it.
It doesn't matter that nobody will believe him when he tells them that he is a prince, an heir. He knows it, absolutely knows it, to be true. And he acts the part. Any dragon can agree that Dauphin is as arrogant and spoiled as any emperor's son, with his petty demands and insistence upon total obedience. And, when a dragon refuses to grovel and heed to Dauphin's every beck and call, he can go into a very royal snit.
The real evidence against him is that he is truly, hopelessly clueless. Dauphin would like to think of himself as suave and urbane, a cultivated member of the higher class and a gallant romantic. He kisses the hands of the ladies with sweeping, courtly bows. He simply does not realize how ridiculous he looks with his 'refined manners' and his 'polished, debonair gentility'. And, firm in the belief that his mere presence is a gracious gift to all females, he does not understand that the tittering giggles around him are not the sounds of hopeless infatuation, but rather of hopeless hilarity.
