Like most guardians, Olympia wandered Sornieth searching out her Charge, journeying far from the comforting warmth of the fire territory. As years passed she began to despair, and she decided to enter the Scarred Wasteland, the one territory she had been avoiding. It did not take long for her to discover her Charge there: a young ridgeback named Herod, recently expelled from his birth clan. Olympia rejoiced.

But unfortunately for the kind-hearted dragon, Herod was ambitious, cunning, and cruel, and he took full advantage of his new fire-breathing guardian. Rather than forming a relationship or even a partnership, he used Olympia's devotion to carve out a territory and set himself up as ruler.

The actions of her Charge bring great sadness to Olympia, but she cannot bear to leave him. She watches his back, guards his territory, and acts as a sort of enforcer, making sure that Herod's rules and laws are being obeyed. She has a lonely existence: often ignored by her Charge, tormented by his Mate, and feared by the clan, she spends most of her time alone.

But her loyalty to Herod is absolute and unquestioning, and she has settled into this way of life the best that she can.

Olympia is responsible for the exile and protection of the clan's Oil Slick imperial, Gulf.
