Biography
know them, and it troubled her more than she cared to admit. Becoming more and more frustrated and lonely, so wandered through the Scarred Wastelands before eventually ending up at the edge of the Starwood Strand.
She meandered moodily along the fringes of the Strand for some time, having reached Arcane lands but finding no joy in it until she was met by a shadowy Imperial who she just meant her no harm. Curiously, after standing silently before her for some time he reached out and handed her a simple bracelet - odd if only because it was identical to a parting gift she had given her daughter Jemma when she left as a hatchling to study amongst other gifted dragons. Henstridge's delight when she arrived at the lair to find her daughter a resident was unbridled, and the impromptu celebrations went well into the night.
Henstridge spent her first days in the lair with Jemma, telling each other all about their lives. She found Jemma's work intriguing, though she didn't understand all of it. She was more comfortable with Jemma's dear friend Leo's inventions, which made much more sense to her even if his skills were beyond anything she'd yet seen. As much as she delighted in being surrounded by like minds, she also delighted greatly in dropping obvious hints about Jemma and Leo being together, in the way that mothers do, and watching the two young dragons get flustered and embarrassed. She spent time with most of the dragons of the clan, drinking up the enthusiasm and cheerful madness of the place, and she loved every second of it. But, rather than make her feel at home, her visit to the lair and long conversations with the clanmembers only clarified what she had begun to suspect from the time she arrived - this place would direct her journey, but her path would not end here. She had so many more questions; there was so much more to explore, and she had no intention of putting down roots yet. As such, she began to travel with Morumfluvine, Locusnoctem, Spyro and Aureusnoctem, searching for her new path with each journey, especially in areas and amongst clans who favour progress and bushing the boundaries. Though she has not yet found her path, she is certain that she soon will.
Ambitious and headstrong, once Henstridge's mind is set it cannot easily be changed. That said, she is not unreasonable - it just takes an awful lot of evidence to change her usually entrenched point of view. She has a sharp and sarcastic sense of humour, and is full of quick one-liners. Though not unkind she's not sentimental, with no time for ignorance or laziness, and finds it hard to tolerate those who won't help themselves. Those who work hard, however, have her greatest respect even if they are not the most talented; she values effort highly.
Henstridge's claws are always moving as she fidgets with some gadget or other, which some can find distracting. She has a habit of asking hard and even slightly uncomfortable questions which can be seen as rude, but that is not her intention - she is simply more upfront and straightforward than most. She's almost as fascinated by the behaviour of other dragons as she is by engineering and structure, so she frequently poses complicated hypothetical questions to see how others will react. She cares little for combat, but has a great love of art.
