STRUNTHUR
"Is it important? No? Then why did you disturb me?!"

This is but one of the many phrases you will get to hear should you decide to disturb Strunthur while he is working on one of his experiments; and it is one of the nicer phrases, too.

Some dragons say that he is an insensitive and megalomaniac lunatic who is trapped within his own mind for trying to find a way to control water. Other dragons say that he is a brilliant genius whose intelligence poses a threat to lesser beings with a weak mind, and whose studies could result in greater knowledge about a dragon's control over the elemental forces surrounding themself.

Those who support him insist that he has always been smarter than other dragons, and that he used his high intelligence early-on to invent great machines which can be used even by the dumbest of dragons to help them in their day-to-day life. However, his opponents say that his 'unusual mind' is merely the result of him being too close to a detonation caused by the Arcanist; a detonation that mixed up the gears in Strunthur's brain which then caused him to grow into the pompous *** he is today.
Latter are correct.

Luckily, Strunthur is spending most of his time in seclusion because "Other dragons are just too stupid to deal with!", as he likes to repeat, "They wouldn't recognize a genius even if he is standing right in front of them. And I really can't be bothered to waste my precious time to such dimwits."
As a result, he built himself a laboratory a long time ago in which he performs difficult incantations that are supposed to help him control water and other elements. Thus far, he has not been successful in this project, but he found a way to distil even the most impure and contaminated water to make it drinkable for non-Plague dragons.
"You know, I may have been able to develop an immunity to all these nasty germs the Plaguebringer likes to spread across her territory, but there are enough dragons out there who get horrible diarrhoea simply by getting in contact with this filthy fluid you call water. Or worse, they die. And who is supposed to thank me if everyone is dead?"

But of course, distilling water is not nearly enough on his way to control ~~Sornieth~~ the elements. He has been watching Kiidruniik for some time now as this farmer seems to be able to summon small amounts of water whenever needed, even though she is a Light dragon. When confronted about why he does not ask Kiidruniik for help, Strunthur always gets snappy and gives the same answer: "Working for me is a privilege. She should beg me to be my assistant!"

The dragons around him put together three rules that may aid them in dealing with Strunthur:
1. Do not interact with him. Ever. Your life will be easier this way.
2. If you do interact with him, flatter him. Tell him what a unique and significant dragon he is.
3. If you do not want to be an ***-kisser, tell him what you really think about him. It does not change the way he thinks about you. He already thinks you are beneath his dignity, so you might as well insult him. He really does not care.
