"Please, don't touch that. Careful!"
Jack's one of those embarrassingly tall, shaped-like-a-barrel men with braids in their hair and in their beards. Everything about him is stout, from the breadth of his shoulders to his quite staggering height of 6'10. He is built for strength, through and through, and it is quite comical to see him hunched over his workbench, colossal hands bent around the tiny cogs and screws he uses to create and patch up weaponry. Jack is a natural redhead, and proud of it. He keeps his curly hair tied back in a leather thong at the base of his neck, but his beard is his true pride. Jack lets the dock orphans braid it, and doesn't mind much when they tug, so his magnificent beard is usually dotted with braids of varying skill levels and a flower or two. He also wears silver jewelry - two silver hoops in his left ear and one in his right.

Jack had been completely content with his life in his home clan and had absolutely no intentions to leave. He spent all his free time romping around with other hatchlings, or getting in his fathers way when he was working. The ideal life for any young dragon, his life was pretty great, if you had asked him. Until a particular snapper was hatched not long after him - Bonny. He quickly became attached to this new friend, and rarely strayed from her side. His attachment to her was what lead him from his cozy life in Clan Arvoisa.

Right into the chaotic life of a pirate.

He didn't much mind the thought of joining up with a bunch of Pirates -was excited by it even- and quickly learned to love the thrill of it. Jack wasn't much for the thieving and the heists, but his start in lightning -and the interest he'd had in his father's work- kept him interested in building and tinkering with things. Unlike Bonny, however, his interest was solely on the ships weaponry. While Bonny kept The Origins engines running, Jack kept her cannons and guns ready for use.

He took great pride and pleasure in crafting and designing newer, more up to date weaponry, and spent all of his available free time tinkering away in his personal quarters below deck.

Eventually, though, all good things come to an end. Jack got separated from the rest of the crew somehow, and when he finally got back to the docks, his ship was gone - Bonny along with it. He spent two years looking for her, joining the Lazarus Clansmen in hopes that their network of spies would bring some word of his mate. And, when his new clan was chased from their longtime refuge and towards the seas, he followed, hoping against all hope that he would meet Bonny again one day.

Jack is a kindred spirit who does what he can for others in need. He's one to lend a hand wherever it's needed, and is thick as thieves with the children, who all consider him to be their honorary uncle. 'Uncle' Jack tells the best stories about pirates, and a giant ship, after all. Their parents sometimes complain when little Suzy gets it into her head that she's going to be a pirate and pillage every clan from the Southern Icefields to the Shrieking Wilds, but for the most part he's well-liked by all. A good man, perhaps even a great one, though Jack merely smiles and changes the subject whenever his rank in the clan is mentioned. He's happy were he is, he says, and those in charge have bigger things to fix then a loose firing mechanism in the guns.

During the attack that cost many of his close friends' lives, Jack was all at once vividly reminded of the family he had lost. Where was his beautiful, intelligent wife? How long had it been since he had searched for his daughters - Wafer, Jacquotte, and Emma?

He vowed to search the rest of his life, if it came down to it.
