Though he is Light-hatched and discovered his charge among the Sunbeam Ruins, TwothousandYears has always had more a more sombre aesthetic---or, as some have said, 'gloomy'. He dresses in cooler colours, unless the Brightshine Jubilee is at hand, and has firmly settled his clan in the western reaches of the Hewn City.
A firm believer in the natural partnership between dragons of the Light and Shadow flights, built upon shared interests and complementary skills, TwothousandYears has welcomed many Shadow dragons into his own clan, notably ThriceAgain, his battle-sister, and MidnightSun, now the mate of the clan's co-founder, OpenEyes. Even now, TwothousandYears is still given to travelling, and he regularly journeys into the neighbouring regions of the Tangled Wood and the Sea of a Thousand Currents. He has little love of the Lightning flight as a whole, however, and firmly delegates as much diplomacy as possible to the sole charge of ForbiddenSong.
As clan Founder, TwothousandYears has little remaining regnal authority over the clan. Nonetheless, he remains a highly respected dragon, and, even among the handful of dragons that might be considered elders of the clan, he and his co-founder, OpenEyes, retain a certain social status as the elders. He occupies the thirteenth seat of the Elemental Council, an exclusively administrative position. In the event of his absence during a Council meeting, OpenEyes assumes his seat and duties until his return; if both clan founders are away, their child, NightlyGuest (TwothousandYears' formal heir), fills the vacancy.
