Ariadne grew up in the land of the Windswept Plateau, young and
courageous at heart. Amongst her litter, she was the first to learn to fly. As the wind coaxed her wings with gentle movements she developed a love for being up in the sky, for in the air there was uncontrollable excitement that tingled through her veins. Therefore, you could rarely find her down below.

But as time grew on, so did her excitement. She desired to go higher, to feel more wind against her scales. Something inside challenged her to fly past the Twisting Crescendo. However, as she began to lift off, the vortex grabbed her and she was unable to save herself. Like most wind dragons, she never returned.

Ariadne miraculously survived the tragic accident - to which she thanked the Windsinger in a prayer - with only a few scrapes and bruises on her flank. She woke up in unfamiliar territory, where a dragon of Nature Flight took her in and mended her to full health.

After her wounds healed, in no time was she back up in the sky.

They nicknamed her "The Crimson Shadow" for in the sky her bright wings cast a red glare down below.
