ABOUT.
As the clan's spymaster, Discordia makes it her business to know the comings and goings of the clan. Any potential threats, both internal and external, are all processed neath her watchful eye.

She has a decent network of spies extending Sorineth, and where she hasn't got spies, she has informants. Pyroeis, Laceration, and Vexation work directly beneath her and split the tasks between them. Without their hard work, the network would crumble in a day.

It's no surprise that Discordia didn't have much of a social life -- that is, till the arrival of Praxidike, an information broker who joined the clan a few months after she did. The coarse, mercenary wildclaw took a shine to her (something that Discordia still puzzles over to this day) and wormed her way past Discordia's pleasant but distant exterior. They grew closer after a certain incident on the night of the clan's anniversary, and Praxidike has since figured out the right buttons to push to get Discordia to unfold.

Discordia knows she shouldn't trust Praxidike. They're both in the same line of business, built on the back of distrust and espionage. She's practically setting herself up for betrayal -- abandonment -- for Shadowbinder's sake.

She does anyway.

These days, it's mostly the internal affairs of the clan that worry her; there's more to pore over as it grows in size: applications to vet, ill intentions to sniff out, certain checks to...execute. She doesn't trust when things are quiet. She plunges into her work, burning the midnight oil just double-checking reports and records to make sure nothing has slipped under the radar. She allows the occasional distraction, but otherwise keeps her guard up.

Things have been much too silent for her liking.

IMPRESSIONS.
Always dressed in black, short hair/feathers neatly slicked back. Always perfectly composed and polite. Would make for a fantastic diplomat but that's a career path that requires honouring her word and trusting others to honour theirs far too much for her liking.

Has since lost the green hue in her wings but still keeps them tucked close to her body and doesn't seem to like looking at or using them. Refuses to fly if she can help it.

PAST.
Discordia's birth clan abandoned her when she was little older than a hatchling because of the green hue in her shimmering wings -- a rare practise in certain flights that is all but obsolete on Sorineth. She wandered the Tangled Woods for two weeks, subsisting off whatever berries and nuts she could forage and desperate to survive no matter the cost.

By the time a travelling longneck clan stumbled upon her, she was little more than a gaunt, feral-eyed creature who shied from even the gentlest touch and always kept her wings tucked close to her body. They gained her trust as they journeyed, leaving food close by and letting her follow them as they travelled. Eventually, she grew brave enough to join them for meals, and quickly became a part of their family.

Discordia travelled with them well throughout her youth, then decided she had to see the world for herself. She spent years picking up odd jobs, never really staying for long in a single location. The decision to explore the Scarred Wasteland was the first ill-advised one she would make. The trading caravan group that Discordia joined was betrayed by its own guards, who slaughtered the merchants and left her to die.

Yet another fortuitous twist of fate found Heracles coming across her wandering the Abiding Boneyard, half-dead and delirious. He brought her back to the clan, which was still in its infancy, and she decided to settle down for good.

The decision to take up the mantle of spymaster came later, when Nyx, one of the clan leaders, noticed that the sullen skydancer seemed to pay far more attention that she let on and had useful connections over Sorineth. Nyx had little experience in the profession, but it was better than nothing at all. Discordia and her both recognised the need for the division, if any semblance of peace was to be kept. Nyx imparted all she knew and Discordia has since figured out the rest.

Make no mistake, Discordia takes Nyx's orders and follows them to the letter. But Heracles saved her life, thus she considers herself indebted -- truly loyal -- to Heracles.

CONTACTS.
Praxidike: Lover. Discordia likes her bite.
Lyle: Hitman occasionally under contract. Discordia finds her reliable, if a little unpredictable at times. Has so far rebuffed Lyle's every attempt at flirting.
Pyroeis: One of her oldest friends. Discordia trusts him, which is high praise.
Matrim: Friend...most of the time. Discordia is fairly sure she can trust him (which is a risk for any spymaster). Assigns missions to him sometimes.
Vexation: Apprentice. As of yet untrustworthy, but Discordia sees something of herself in him.
Clan Teneri: Her first family. Keeps in touch with them by letter, keeps an eye on them through her position.
