    Valkina and her sister Musaea were two of the clan's artists. They painted many things, from the illustrations in the books in Spring's library to the decorations found scattered around the clan. They tended to make their own pigments using plants from Galdrea's garden or the items brought back by the warriors and gatherers, or used the pigments brought back from the Rainsong Jungle. The inks they made were also used around the clan for other purposes such as writing and spellcraft.

    While both sisters were skilled painters, Valkina preferred painting decorative pieces. She loved adding colour to the wood and stone ornaments presented to her, using just the right colour to make the piece beautiful without seeming garishly so before returning it back to its owner. The sisters were responsible for painting all the decorative pieces for festivals and celebrations.
