 Battuto is part of the clan, but many dragons secretly long for her eviction out of it, believing that her close ties with the centaurs will get them in a war or some other sort of trouble. It doesn’t help that she isn’t a beastclan ambassador, like her elder siblings, but a militant beastclan sympathizer. If she was an ambassador for the clan most of them would dismiss her close ties as necessary for successful and peaceful negotiations with them, but the fact that she’s close for any reason other than that make many dragons wary and scared of her.
Her close ties to the local centaur clan and her centaur familiar, Bryn, started when she was just a hatchling and managed to tag along with her sisters one day without them noticing. They had been heading to the clan for one of their regular meetings and she had hung back from a distance, following them, and from that day onward her ties with the beastclan just got stronger and stronger the more time she spent with them.

She’s so close to Bryn and the rest of the centaurs that she has developed her magic so that it leans towards shapeshifting, and she uses when she’s with the beastclan to better fit in with and get along with them. This ability has spooked many dragons, and even though many dragons are very wary of her, she has yet to get kicked out of the clan because of her parents and the fact that her relationship with the beastclan hasn’t caused any incidents yet.
