Where other Ice dragons exemplify the cold, faceted clarity of their element, Flint is the embodiment of getting your tongue stuck to a frozen lamp post. Or maybe a snowball packed with rocks, flying toward your head at 90 miles per hour.

The snapper has been selling his sword ever since he caught a trade ship from the Southern Icefield to the mainland in his youth, when the vessel was beset by pirates. He fought off the attackers quite valiantly, and after the pirates were sent packing, the captain of the trade ship commented, "you could do this for a living, kid." Most dragons would interpret those words as a suggestion to pursue bodyguarding, but Flint took them to mean he could get paid to pick fights, which sounded like a pretty sweet deal to him. So when the merchant ship docked in the shifting expanse to unload its cargo, Flint signed over to a sellsword company and began his career in the mercenary arts.

Not one to take orders very well, Flint struggled to obey the company commander, and spent just as much time fighting his allies as his enemies. Since he's 8130 kilos of loudmouthed muscle, he usually came out on the better side of those fights, leaving the receiving ends of his aggressions to nurse their wounds and their resentment. When the number of complaints rose too high for the commander to ignore, Flint was booted out of the company and left with only the armor on his back.

He wandered the Carrion Canyon for a while, bullying weaker dragons for their food and gold. Such was his simple, brutal existence, until he picked a fight with Ratha and got his tail kicked so bad he couldn't sit right for days. Afterward, when Flint was lying low to recover from his wounds, Bane sought him out, complemented him on holding his own against her right arm, and offered him a place in her ragged band of raiders. With the opportunity to beat up whoever he wished and do whatever he pleased dangling in front of his nose, he happily accepted her offer and has been brawling along with her in the badlands ever since.

Having fitted himself into the role of a heavyweight thug quite nicely, Flint is one Bane defaults to when a victim needs a good fist in the face.
