The shade touched Calypso, allowing her to see the future. Such information can be dangerous, so when she chooses to reveal something, it’s always in riddles. After being altered by the darkness, she was forced out of her forest home. Eventually she settled in the Wastes. Though the meaning of her fortunes may not be clear at first, not one has been false. To have a fortune told, a dragon must hold seven carved knuckle bones to their chest, then cast them across the sand. Each symbol means something different, and something different still when combined with others. As a general rule, fortune may be told only once for a specific dragon in a short time period. But a word of warning: struggling against the future is pointless: it’s already written. The harder you try to escape your fate, the more you solidify it.
