Biography

Rowan (little red raven)

Impressed with the wandering Amir’s power, the Wildclaw eventually tracked Amir to the Calm Hunter’s lair. As inviting as Tharin and Serena were, Rowan insisted on proving himself by providing a gift of meat to the couple. To this day he continues to do most of the hunting for the clan and is offended when Amir doesn’t depend on him in a fight.

After a few not so kind meetings, Rowan managed to gain the favor of Spiritshadow, and they had their first cluch, Shadow taking on the role of a very protective mother. A while after the hatchling grew up, Rowan got restless and decided to go back to his own clan to see how his friends were doing.

His friends of course were happy to see him again but it didn’t take long before they began to recognize the return of his restlessness. He didn’t want to leave his son behind who despite being full grown had a habit of joking around. After assuring Rowan that they would keep Laken out of trouble the Wildclaw left to visit his home away from home. Perhaps next time he returned Laken would have some little brothers or sisters.

On coming back to the singing stones, Rowan was greeted with an interesting sight. Three little hatchlings had been born from Spiritshadow's second clutch, and all of them were happy to see their father. He was even able to help name them. Greyflight, Fatewind, and Burningheart grew quickly, and the two males practically begged Rowan to teach them to fight. Not one to be able to say no to those little round eyes, Rowan agreed. Fatewind trained with her mother, and before they all knew it, it was time for Rowan to go and check on the three siblings' older brother. He left the rabbit that had become his familiar with his son Burningheart, in order to help the young one grow.

Since that time Spiritshadow and Rowan have drifted apart, the clan of singing stones abandoned like sand to the wind. Rowan spends most of his time hunting alone but Laken’s antics keep him from becoming a complete recluse.
