The hatchlings of the clan all come into the world in a very similar way. Sometimes there are many dragons present, and sometimes there aren't, but no matter what there is always a gentle voice and a looming grey figure coaxing them out of their eggs. Anahi takes her position as a hatchling caretaker very seriously. All of her energy is dedicated to helping hatchies grow and thrive. Every clan-born clan member considers her a second mother.

Anahi grew up in the Sea of A Thousand Currents. She was the only one who hatched from her nest, as the rest were tragically lost in an enemy attack. Her parents naturally fussed over her, doing everything to keep her safe. Their efforts seemed to nurture her protective streak. When she was old enough to fly, she found herself hanging around the hatchery instead of heading out to see the world. She never felt the need to roam, but the urge to help and guard never left. Eventually, the clan's current hatchery attendant decided to take her in as an apprentice. She loved her new purpose, but she didn't see a future for herself at her birth clan. She left for other lands, hoping to find someone who would need her service. The clan's previous ruler, Eryena, had seen her potential and happily welcomed her into the clan. Anahi happily moved in and became a beloved member of the community. Unfortunately, happiness could not last. Anahi managed to save all the eggs in her care after the wreck, but she almost lost her life in the process-and, unfortuantly, couldn't save Polyxena, a child of Innokenti and Cierra. Anahi stayed with the group after the wreck and refused to leave, even as others left. She still is resolutely a member of the Cavern, fully supporting Innokenti and Cierra's leadership. She still feels rather guilty about the death of their daughter and has become notably more protective of her charges, to the point of being possessive. She refuses to fail again. |
