There are times when nothing but your best foot forward will suffice.

Elegant, well-spoken and an excellent negotiator, Venus' life as a diplomat was a highly successful one. But, having grown up a non-conforming hatchling in a strict, traditional-minded lair, she was equally familiar with life as a pariah. So, when old friend Spadille approached her with an offer to become ambassador for newly-founded Umbersurge Coven, she gladly accepted.

The clan, led by a young, yet capable Matriarch, promised to be a haven for misfits - more than just another opportunity to engage in politics, it was a chance to help build a place for those who, like her younger self, felt they had nowhere else they belonged.

Years later, Umbersurge Coven is a strong, thriving clan, in no small part due to her own contributions. The Matriarch has blossomed into a wise and cunning leader, more than able to hold her own ground in diplomatic meetings as well as on the battlefield. But when a situation requires a delicate touch, she will not hesitate to turn to the Ambassador, and Venus is honoured to count herself among the few to whom Tesleya looks for advice.

The Pestillence that recently ravaged the clan has taken its toll on all. With her diplomatic skills more in demand than ever, it is fortunate that her ability for mediation has not faltered. However, the loss of her mate Gloria has nonetheless left its mark, and the radiant Ambassador has thus far been quick to shut down any and all attempts at courtship.
