Biography
![](/rendern/portraits/147267/14726672p.png)
Nami is well-bred, beautiful coloring, proportions, the whole nine yards. When she was put up for sale, she was rather nervous, but she knew she'd be fine. I mean, her new home couldn't be that bad! When she heard she would probably go to a clan in good contact with her home clan, she knew she would be fine. Rubyshimmer knew what she was doing.
When Nami arrived at her new clan, she immediately noticed the trees. Mostly, how they could be dangerous weapons against a dragon with her total lack of night-vision. When the small black nocturne told her she was near to her destination, in her soft, smooth voice, she asked; "Hello, is this the Clan ruled by Umbra?" She heard a low whistle behind her, but saw no one. Nami knew that the troublesome dragons of the Tangled Wood loved their tricks, so she wasn't perturbed. Plus, she could hardly see her own hands in the gloom, how would she hope to make out an onlooker? Just when she began to wonder if no one herd her, she saw the light clearly cast by a mage of the light flight. "Heh. Welcome, little lady", The Skydancer asked knowingly, "You must be the Nami I've heard so many good things about?" He was nearly five times her size then, and though his scales shined, she knew he was not from such delicate breeding as her. His wings were slightly too small for his body, and his jungle-colored Okapi would never be intentional. She decided not to judge him for that, though, his less-than-perfect features wouldn't make him any less good of a clanmate. "Yes. I am Nami. What is your name?" Nami asked, her voice once again sounding plucked from the throat of an angel. "Diluculum's my name, sweet, I should have told ya before", the male, Diluculum, replied, he sounded like he was trying to flirt with her. Well, she'll have none of that. "I would prefer you call me Nami, Diluculum", Nami said, with more edge to her still-entrancing voice. "My apologies, Nami" Diluculum said, backing off. He led her to the lair without another word. It was lit barely enough to see by, and she had to work vary hard not to step on or bump into the things in the rather messy cave. I'll get used to it, she assured herself.
She did fine at first, the lair was... interesting and not what she might call "extravagant", but it was okay. She understood Umbra not decorating most of the lair, and she knew her quarters was empty so she could decorate as she saw fit. Nami did, of course complain about the size of her quarters, it was about half of what she normally would call minimum. But, the thing that told her that this was just a hole in the ground, that the lair she moved into was without any style, that she would never belong, was when she was invited to Umbra's quarters. Umbra's quarters where, literally, just a desk and a badly-done nest in the corner. This was an outrage! An attack on all decent society everywhere! This had to be fixed.
She found an empty room and got to work, no clan could go without their leader's den in prime condition. She worked in secret, thinking Umbra would be offended by the suggustion that her lair was drab. Nami worked day and night, exhausting herself with more work than she had ever done before. Eventually, she was satisfied, and she brought Umbra to see her work. When Umbra saw it, she didn't move or react for a while, Nami stared to speak, to explain, when Umbra spoke. "Thank you", She said, in the usual monotone, "You may now work as an interior decorator. You may find it suites your skills." Umbra immediately moved into the new room.
