Merida worked as a slave for most of her life. Treated like she was less than a dragon, Merida was only known as a scavenger, and nothing more. This would have been her entire existence if the Explorers of the Dawn didn't intervene. The adventurers put a stop to the foul treatment, and safely escorted Merida and the other slaves to the Windsweapt Plateau. Upon being exposed to the sense of freedom and kindness that was Wind Flight culture, Merida was propelled to stay. She was quickly recruited by Aria into the clan, and found a home among the hunters.

This spiral is very shy and cowardly. Years of feeling like she was nothing completely shattered her spirit. Now that she is free, however, Merida is working towards bettering her self-esteem and social skills. Although the very thought of being in a rambunctious clan of 150 other dragons is terrifying, for the sake of the Windsinger, the clan, and their kindness, she presses on.
