Trident Herald "I present to you myself, Trident of Clan Carnelian." Outpost Resident  Strict and proper, Trident is a sure case of too much responsibility, too soon. His job is to be perfect. Just that. To not let the clan down in his meetings with diplomats and traders, to impress upon his own visits to allied clans, and to never have a scale unburnished or a whisker out of place. He makes announcements at clan gatherings, flies the clan banner as they travel....and feels, at the end of the day, as if he actually contributes very little to it all. He is always boasting of the achievements of others, while his own life seems somehow very barren without them. He tends to be short and snappy with his fellow clansmen when not in the public eye, and finds most social interactions outside of is job a complete waste of his time. At his happiest, he can be found alone upon the barren clifftops, staring out across the empty horizon and dreaming of future adventures of his own making. One day. |

==History==
Trident is the culmination of one of Shamshir's most lauded breeding projects, aiming for a reduction of colour down to a perfect primary red across every aspect of a hatchling's being. This was most likely a ploy to capture the favour of Arquebus, whose obsessions are widely known. Once their job was completed, Trident's parents left him to join the Plaguebringer's service, alone with only the guiding hand of the Carnelian Council for support, unable even to join the other 'common' hatchlings within Bardiche's creche. Unsurprisingly, Trident has never quite forgiven them. ==Relationships== He has an arranged mating with Shotel, which he regards as yet another clinging duty with little affection spared between them. He has at least attempted to give more support to his own hatchlings than he himself was offered, but usually finds himself without the slightest clue of what to say. Genes wanted: None. |
