Paprika was one of the very first dragons to join clan Bhaga, back when their small band of dragons still resided within the Cairnstone Rest. The Plague dragoness was down on her luck, relying on a deft hand to steal herself a meal where once those same hands had whipped up meals fit for kings in her former Clan. Courin gave the hungry dragoness her first real meal in days, and in return she won herself Paprika's friendship and loyalty.

As a young fighter, Paprika generally stuck to the sidelines, staying on the fringes of battle and beguiling her way to her enemies' treasures. Although this technique wasn't that advantageous when dealing with Beastclans, Paprika proved herself invaluable in skirmishes against other dragon clans and bandits that threatened her home. Her magic had a twirling, dancer-esque flow and was always accompanied by a cloying, irresistible scent. Although Paprika herself could never explain the smell to her Tundra clanmates, she often joked that it was a memento from her parents' Clan.

Undertow took a liking to Paprika's indirect strategies and, despite being younger than the vibrant dragoness, brought her under his wings. He taught her a pirates' dagger-play and his favorite weaving spiral tactics, encouraging the lithe dragoness to use her wiry form to her advantage. Undertow had a particular gift for slight of hand and feinting moves that Paprika was impressed by, and soon--thanks to frequent sparring practices and subsequent trips to Courin's den--they became an inseparable pair.

She has since slain many a beastclan warrior in the Harpy's Roost, but Paprika has found that outright challenge in the coliseum still isn't really her style. She loves the rush and thrum of life in bustling, busy marketplace streets. She finds cheap thrills in covert trades under dark, and more than once she has put herself on the line to save herself or her "mentor," by whose side she claims she would gladly die. Although uninterested in piracy as a rule, Paprika can never resist an adventure, and would follow Undertow to the Tidelord's inky depths if he asked.

At first, Undertow utilized Paprika's charm to employ her as the face of his operations. He would send her in amongst enemy clans to wine and dine their leaders, snuggling in close and getting in their good graces. From there, Paprika would work her vantage point to get her partner his trade deals. If this route of negotiation should fail, then Paprika would employ her trusty daggers, spiked with Bonepriest venom. Coupled with a sweet grin and a wink, her combos are hard to argue with; to this day, she's never been bested yet.

Nowadays, most of Paprika's adventuring happens abroad, far from Dragonhome, on missions with Undertow to capture (or steal) rare treasures from Beastclans and other dragons' hoards. With poison blades hidden beneath her silks, the beguiling spiral has become a beautiful, deadly weapon. Although the rest of the clan hasn't been privy to the true sources of their wealth, Undertow always ensures that the lions' share of their treasure always ends up in the hands of the neediest dragons. This suits the dragoness; she isn't as interested in hoarding wealth as she is in stealing it in the first place.

While generally untempted by the finer things in life, Paprika will always select a few choice fabrics to add to her wardrobe. She has a fondness for fine silk, although she has been known to seize upon the rare beastclan weaving when opportunity strikes. The beastclans of Sornieth have the most remarkable ability to produce fabrics and textiles with unique colors and patterns. She often confides in her own familiars, asking them their secrets as she coils against them in her den. Undertow doesn't really understand this inclination of hers, but doesn't begrudge her an extensive collection of familiars. She may not have many dragons she keeps close, but she fiercely guards the smaller creatures under her care.

Thanks to her discerning eye for a fine fabric, Undertow usually defers to Paprika for most of his business trades on the subject. As she's gotten older, the dragoness has gotten savvier in the marketplaces of Dragonhome, and her flashy stall frequently shines as one of the most frequented businesses in any market. However, she refuses to sell anywhere but in Earth Flight territory, blithely refusing Usarna's offers to send along a trade convoy, knowing full well that if she were to set foot outside of her clan these days, she would likely be unveiled for the thief she is. Even in Dragonhome's markets she prefers to keep her face covered, lest visiting dragons should recognize her Swirling eyes and mischievous grin.
