Found in the Golem workshop, heavily wounded and almost dying, Timaeus protected his charge from the strange band of dragons that refused to get off his trail. A delver had taken a nasty chunk out of his wing, and blood oozed from his side where a Mith had gotten in a lucky strike.
Timaeus had expected to die that day, at the hands of a grinning Ridgeback, a Stalwart guardian and the strange pearlcatcher that shadowed the both of them.

He had not expected to wake up in a bamboo hut, wounds bandaged and tended to, his charge safely curled up against Timaeus's side where he belonged. But that was where he was, in what had once been the storage vault of the research base that bordered Wind and Plague. It was a far site safer than the Golem Workshop where he had been born, and in the time it took his wounds to heal Timaeus had decided to stay. It helped of course, that he had not had much of a say in it. His charge had made the real decision to stay. And where Hal was, Tim would also be. No matter where that place happened to be.

He now spends his days looking after the few plants that flourish around the edges of the clan's domain, even the ones that could more accurately be described as weeds than anything else. He still wears his armour, he would feel naked to not, even if he has not had any
