TODAY:
For all his political savvy, Curufin is not actively involved in the governance or administration of Eldarin - better to leave that kind of gruntwork to those who feel they must do it. . . Instead, he spends most of his time these days at the forges of his father's stronghold, perfecting new weapons for the war both they both know is coming.

FACTION/FAMILY:
Curufin has very strong protective instincts towards all immediate family members: fond of his mother Nerdanel (though dismissive of her advice), indulgent of his sister Celegorm, amused by his sister Caranthir, doting on the twins, and proud of his older brother Maedhros (though pledging to Fingon?that usurper's son, truly?). Then, of course, he has always been devoted to his father, Feanor, and this devotion has not diminished even as Feanor's actions have become more and more extreme. Because of his father's mistrust, though, Curufin is also extremely suspicious of the extended family members throughout Eldarin.

He is also the only one of his siblings with offspring of his own. Most of his children have long since left Eldarin to serve the Arcanist, but the one who remains nearby make him furious to think about: his most talented daughter Tyelperinquar was seduced into leaving Eldarin. Where she has gone, he doesn't know - he fears that she has gone to join the Outlaws, as even his good-hearted girl would know better than to trust a dragon of Angband, yes?
