Awaking from a rest that seemed unto an age to find her loved one long gone and hatchlings flown, Liana struggled to fit back into the clan, her previous acquaintances had long since left or simply forgotten about her, and Liana found herself reluctant to make new ones, knowing she could leave at any time herself, or they could. So instead she resigned herself to watch over the younger Imperials, the ones that had suddenly come from nowhere. She wanted to protect, as much as she could and thus spent many an hour and day simply observing.
Thus she came to witness the departure of a young Imperial called Coldsnap, one she'd previously enjoyed watching play with his only sibling. Why he was leaving she wasn't sure, but silently she stalked after him, eventually catching up quietly, like a snake. They shared a companion spirit, both feeling outsiders and as if they wanted to explore and find out what was out there. Liana reasoned that if she went with the male, perhaps one day he would return, or their leader, Redulpho, would view it as her guarding a lost hatchling of the clan. Sure, he'd never held it against anyone for leaving yet, but who's to say he wouldn't now?
Regardless she found herself forming a friendship with the male, a bond that helped multiple times in their search for somewhere new to call home.
