Valka's nose is something many envy. It is the nose of a wolf on the hunt, a shark that smells blood, the nose of a true Tundra. One whiff and she will always remember you. One sniff of your scent trail and she will find you even on the other side of Sornieth a year later. She is a tracker and a damn good one.

Valka doesn't get along with her family. She views them as too carefree and lazy. They call her stuck-up and straight-laced. It is a mutual dislike, though her family wishes Valka would allow them to befriend her, to crack her cold mask.

Few are skilled enough to call themselves trackers even among Tundras as it requires a keen eye, intelligence and determination few are able to muster. But Valka isn't a quitter. She trained herself to notice the smallest of details, to search for what others don't see. She trained her body as well as mind, learned to fight to both protect herself and to complete the less moral jobs she takes.

But she is also arrogant. She often completely dismisses the deductions of others, only to notice the clues later and never acknowledges her mistakes. She works alone with her hounds she taught to work with her since they were puppies.
