It was after a long day of work, Hadaron had shrugged off his decorative garb, instead wearing something more comfortable and practical. How exhausting it was, to be hired as a performer. He knew he wasn't nobility, of course, but it's an exhausting role he seems too suited for. He wishes he could go back to the Coliseum, but not before his injury. He valued his teammates, Halina and Calypso. They were always so helpful. Quicksilver was all too eager to prove himself though, the young, arrogant fool. Though, time has a way of mellowing people out.

Speaking from experience, of course. He looked at his mangled right paw. A Podid had mangled it. No matter how much healing he had, it could never be fully returned to function. It still ached, despite it having been healed. Phantom aches.

It was then when Fluorite entered the chamber.

"Welcome back," Hadaron smiled.

"You beat me this time." Fluorite was happy to see her spouse.

The two embraced, getting close to one another.

"I see we've both had a long day."

"Maybe so, but I can't complain about mine." She went to grab Hadaron's good paw in a loving embrace when suddenly she paused.

"How did you get this scar?" she asked. Her other paw lingered.

Hadaron had it covered up often. It was mostly healed, but it was unusual. Evidently not from the wear and tear of the Coliseum. Something happened. But, since it's reveal, now he was back in the old palace, trembling as he covered his face with his now-injured paw.

But that's not him anymore. He's in a different palace. He can't say it's much better, but he's got friends here. I guess that means it's better.

"It's nothing, just a thing of the past." It took a moment for Hadaron to get back to himself. When he did, he jested," The other paw's messed up enough to keep others from noticing."

Fluorite had a soft look in her eyes, understanding. "And I thought I knew most of your scars from your Coliseum days." She gently smiled with humorous attempt in her voice.

"I guess we've all got our surprises."
