Sitting on someone's shelf is a long forgotten plushie. It's dusty. The seams that once held it's limbs together are fraying and the thread is yellowed and worn. Patches of mismatched fabric cover up holes where over eager hatchlings tore at the well-loved fur. There's a smile sitting on it's face, bright white eyes still glistening like it's new.

Someone reaches up to take it down, the first time this lovely little thing has been handled in a long time. Gentle paws run over the surface. It's time to move on. They move it out into the sunlight and there's an exchange of hands. New paws gently prod at grey and black textile. They run their hands so delicately over it, so gently, like they're afraid to break and tear.

It's time to move on, to find a new home. You were so loved before, I can see it in every stitch and seam and scrap of fabric. And now you're loved again. Welcome home, little Pandora.
