B I O G R A P H Y

Moskeradas means "masquerade." It is a name given to only the most powerful and unknown beings. And goodness, does Moskeradas live up to that. Moskeradas is a seemingly quiet, seemingly omnipotent being that shows off his powers in strange ways. He is mysterious and formal, and if you heard a contraction come out of his mouth you'd know that it was an impostor. His familiar, Cowrie, and his soul-sister and leader, Pan, are his two closest companions in the universe.

When Moskeradas was born, he lived a fairly ordinary life. He did have short memories of a sister being torn away from him. But now she was gone, and he was stuck in a normal lair. However, he hated the lair's simplistic style. He outsmarted the lair guards ran away - or rather swam away, since it was a Water lair - and tried to live on his own. Moskeradas's wit and natural ingenuity caught the eye of the Stormcatcher, who usually was not concerned with the affairs of those not living in his Tempest Spire. The Stormcatcher came down to Moskeradas that day and gifted him with all he needed, and a map to the place he needed to go. Nobody knew where the map led at that point.

The map led Moskeradas to a small space in the Southern Icefield. It was a slightly spacious cave, maybe enough for twenty dragons. It was a place where dragons used to live - but not anymore. The clan Stormcatcher had wanted Moskeradas to go to had left the Icefield. Without confidence, Moskeradas began to search all around Sornieth to find where the lair was.

With little confidence, Moskeradas searched endlessly for the lair. He needed a home. Finally, after many long years of searching, he finally gave up and put himself on the Auction House. Maybe he'd get exalted. Then at least he'd have sanctuary with a deity. But then, he was bought and brought to the one lair he was looking for!

As Moskeradas looked around his new lair, he found the clan's leader gaping at him. Suddenly, Moskeradas's jaw dropped, too. It was the sister he remembered from his earliest memories! Pandella gifted Moskeradas with many gifts and invited her brother to be her second-in-command. Moskeradas happily agreed.

In Moskeradas's current life, he is a hunter and warrior for the clan. He helps strategize when battles come and organizes patrols when it's time to gather. Moskeradas does magic, but only in the background, and usually to impress people. Many still think of him as a big, mysterious presence, which is what Moskeradas wants. Sometimes, in the clan's frequent plays and masquerades, Moskeradas is an actor, though most people don't know it.

Lightning Flight - Messenger

Dedicated / Ambitious / Impatient

Shortly after Oskres joined the clan, there was a burst of communications with the Lightning Flight region due to the closeness of the Thundercrack Carnivale-- as such, going down the grapevine, when Oskres' grandparents had another clutch, there was a request to take in one of the new hatchlings. The grandparents thought having some relatives together might be a good thing, and if they had the opportunity, why not?

Selt, being much younger than Oskres yet still technically his uncle, arrived in the Southern Icefields with a "buzz" about him. Apparently he had heard great things about the choppy seas nearby, and was excited to learn how to manage the colder temperatures compared to the arid Lightning realm.

Oskres attempted to rein him in a bit, warning him that down in the ice realms, it wasn't too safe to swim at all-- but his warnings fell on deaf ears. Selt's nephew did manage to ask Yevaud and Reach to give the young Wildclaw a Water Sprite (for safety reasons) but aside from that could not do much to stop the Wildclaw from diving into the near-frozen oceans whenever he got the chance. Selt particularly enjoyed using a small amount of Lightning magic to shock fish whenever the opportunity arose, and claimed such contributions as all the more reason for him to go out into the waters...

Thankfully, at least, the Water Sprite did manage to give Selt some amount of protection from the water and ice's chill, but the Wildclaw still needed some direction if he was to stay in the clan for any longer amount of time. The clan's messenger, Aix, quietly conferred with Oskres and asked if his uncle might be interested in aiding her deliver messages across the seas. When this option was proposed to Selt, that he deliver correspondences particularly in hard to reach areas (at least by air), the Wildclaw took to the challenge with all the natural ambition of a Lightning-drake.

Aix still is the main messenger of the clan, but commonly takes Selt with her on trips. The two fly together (with Selt sometimes resting on the imperial's back) and Selt, when needed, goes down into the seas and also runs on foot to hard to reach destinations.
