Pocket was the victim of a rather nasty event including a Canopic Jar. Just a month after Tiestow dug up a malevolent jar of his own, Pocket accidentally scratched the cryptic pattern on the ancient artifact. Pocket's soul was immediately absorbed into the jar, and his body became limp. He was rushed back immediately to the lair (along with the jar) by the digging team. Despite the clan's best efforts, they were unable to extract his soul from the accursed object. Moonlight mourned the loss of her mate that day.

It was Gargamel who moved both the jar and the body to the Shadowbinder's lair that night. (Un)fortunately for him, he just so happened to run into the Shadowbinder, who wasn't quite impressed with a soulless dragon donation. Gargamel explained the situation, hoping she would see it as a potential joke and let him leave. To his surprise, she announced that there was a way to save him...

Moonlight was too upset to ask where her partner's body had gone, and nobody else wanted to think about it either. The only dragon who had been told about the Shadowbinder's words was Starlight, Gargamel's mate. They agreed not to say anything until there was a reason to. That reason came sooner than expected, when a wounded coatl ended up in the lair. He was severely injured, so much so that Thimble could not do anything that would save him. Starlight took over from her mate, and made the journey back to the Shadowbinder.

No one knows exactly what happened whilst over there. Only that the coatl was now in Pocket's old body, and had chosen to stay with the Shadowbinder herself. As for Pocket... Well, he shows some battle scars from where the coatl was hurt, but beside that... He's back to normal.

Pocket absolutely adores digging around in mud, sand, anything really. Unfortunately, that includes his own nest which also belongs to his mate, Moonlight. It has had to be filled in with gravel, a substance he has a strange adoration for and will not disturb no matter where it's found. She's okay with that, it's one of his adorable perks as far as she's concerned.

Despite his timorous nature, Pocket has earned himself the respectable job of Digging Leader for doing so well on those grounds (no pun intended). Ever since he was a wee hatchling, he has been beating the adults at finding some truly spectacular items.

One rather nasty habit of his is screaming when in danger (or rather, when he believes he's in danger). Such a cacophonous sound will travel all the way to the Southern Icefield. As a result, Starlight gave him a Manticore Screamer, or as he now calls him 'Screechy'. The other dragons are still pretty annoyed at her for giving him that familiar, mind, since it means someone usually has to be nearby to prevent their eardrums becoming wrecked.

Beyond his digging obsession, Pocket enjoys lurking around the lair, picking up any random items that appear to have been discarded by his fellow clan members. Why, you ask? He likes to dig holes and bury them in, claiming that they're being saved for a rainy day. Or that maybe they'll need them in the future, for an event or something. Yeah, the other dragons don't know why either.

Exalting Pocket to the service of the Shadowbinder will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
