The definition of "Quintessence" is perfect. 'No, I'm not perfect, though, I'm...'

Quintessence had trouble accepting his name. Out of a nest of three, his parents agreed that, yes, he was perfect. His two brothers had gone to serve the Glade Keeper - fairly early in their lives. He had avoided the gembond gene - as had his older brother.

You'll find Quince with the hatchlings most of the time, he feels most comfortable away from the main clan. This is heartbreaking for Pagina - his mother - who would rather have him with the clan, and not on his own.

As luck would have it, there was a glimmer of hope for Quince. He found that he really enjoyed the Coliseum and that was where he stayed for a long time. There came another dragon into the clan - Battleclaw - who befriended Quince. The two dragons have forged a strong friendship and can often be found either training youngsters in order to prepare them for their service to the Glade Keeper or playing with the youngest members of the clan.
