P E R S O N A L I T Y
Despite his intimidating physicality, Shadow is a warm-hearted and playful dragon but well respected for his unending dedication to the protection of the clan and vault. Known for his low tolerence of clutter and mess, dragons know not to incite his wrath but are also aware he is a notorious prankster and are always on guard for a hidden whoopie cushion or pie to the face. His relaxed nature balances Astraea's serious and often stern persona, often difusing tense disagreements with light-hearted humour.

B A C K G R O U N D
Shadow grew up in Clan Cosmos, close to the former leader Quetzacoatl, and was one of the many to welcome Astraea and her companions to the clan early on in her journey. An avid collector of trinkets such as jewels, crowns and embelished armour, many teased his obsession with 'shiny things' and although it was not unkind, it dampened his enthusiasm. Astraea's arrival and her immediate fascination with his collection, interested to hear his theories on their construction and sharing her own research from her travels won his heart over completely. Admiring her dedication, he offered his support and she welcomed him into her makeshift clan and not long after, welcomed him into her heart. He took on the role of Vault Keeper, ensuring the protection and organisation of it's contents. He took on the role of second in command almost by accident, the clan unanimous in their unspoken agreement that he had earnt the role and was more than capable of handling the responsiblity.

Similar to his mate, Shadow has little skill with magic and is only able to use the simplest of light spells. Far more skilled with claw-to-claw combat and organisation, he is well-suited to protecting the vault and managing the growing contents.

Deeply in love and utterly devoted to one another, the two share a rare and long-lasting bond. As Clan Leader, Astraea shouldered a heavy weight of responsibility and Shadow is well-aware of the pressure and stress this caused his beloved. He is relieved she has now passed down leadership and remains unfaltering in providing her love and support. Despite the many years they have been bonded they still act as lovesick teens around one another.
