A member of the Star Siblings, Solas studies astronomy. He is much more introverted than his sister Baraqijal, but no less passionate about his chosen field of study. His large eyes afford him a very sharp, wide range of vision to see the stars, and his familiar Ossian (meaning "little deer") has a nearly pinpoint accuracy for star locations. He has a contained but confident personality, and is unafraid to state his opinions, no matter what others might say of him. He is also very hopeful and trusting of others, but he tends to blame himself for other's not meeting his (admittedly low) expectations, and has problems with beating himself up over the little things. Solas tries his hardest to be unoffensive, but lacks much in eloquence and usually results to actions to express himself. He is very openly affectionate with all his relationships; hugging and displays of affection come naturally to him, and he loves to cuddle with and spoil his mate. Solas enjoys getting Nightfall to sing for him, on account of Nightfall's beautiful voice, as well.
